
David Anania (AnaniA) is a drummer, singer / songwriter, producer and longtime Blue Man Group member (NY, Berlin). With BMG, David played shows around the globe, including: Moby’s Area II Tour (w / Moby, David Bowie and Bustah Rhymes), The Complex Rock Tour and The Royal Variety Performance (with Queen Elizabeth II present).
With artists such as Blue Man Group and blues rocker Shannon Curfman (Kid Rock), David has appeared in the most successful television shows in the US (“The Tonight Show w / Jay Leno”, “Good Morning America”, “Rosie O’Donnell” , “CBS This Morning”) and Europe (“Royal Variety Performance”, “Wetten dass ..?”, “TV Total”, “Schlag den Raab”, and “The Voice of Germany”). David composes music of all types for himself and other artists like Jaimi Faulkner (“It Is Not Easy” 2015 on V2 records) Jessica Gall (“You’ll Feel” and “World to Me”, 2016) and Nnenna Yvonne (“Believe in Me”, 2015). David is also a sought-after team building event leader and public speaker in Europe and the US.
Since 2012, David has been actively involved in the composition of soundtracks – in collaboration with Snap 180 Media for three documentary films (“Return to Pearl”, “The Yellow Ribbon”, “They Fought for Freedom”).
2018 marked a milestone in his career: In July, David released his first solo CD titled “Reinvent the Feel”. This debut, consisting of nine songs, is massively influenced by music that is important for shaping the contours of David’s career – progressive rock, pop and funk. The CD features world class musicians who have worked with international superstars such as the Jonas Brothers, Mandy Moore, Jonny Lang, Prince and Cory Wong. AnaniA is looking forward to a new phase in his musical career and hopes to positively influence people around the world with his music.
