Hello Shell Lake Campers and their families,

Greetings from the beautiful Frozen Northwoods of Wisconsin! 2022 was an amazing year for the Shell Lake Arts Center and as we reflect on how great our past has been, we look forward to an even brighter future.

I wanted to let you know that on Sunday, January 1st, our registration for summer camps in 2023 will begin. The process will be quite a bit different because we have teamed up with UltraCamp to run our registration process. You’ll find that it is much more streamlined than it has been in the past.  You may access the link for registrations from the front page of our website or from the individual camp pages

As is no surprise to anyone, our economy and inflation have been in the news quite a bit over the past few months. We have had to raise tuition for next summer to cover costs. We are still the best deal in the upper Mid-West.  Residential tuition will be $725 and commuter tuition will be $400. One of the features of UltraCamp is that you will only need to pay $100 to reserve your spot in one of our camps. You also have the option to pay for the entire camp (or any other amount over $100 that you wish to pay). The remaining balance will be divided out in equal installments due monthly. You may also choose to pay this off at any time you wish.

The other great feature of UltraCamp is that all of the forms required for participation are available for you to fill out electronically before you arrive in Shell Lake. This means that when you arrive for camp we are breaking right into activities and not collecting forms. What a great way to start.

If you’ve been following us, you know that we have added several new camps this summer. I’ve attached our flyer to this email so that you can see all of the incredible opportunities that are available.

I will send out another notice within the next couple weeks that outlines the changes to our scholarship program.

As I reflect on how awesome 2022 was, I know that 2023 will be even better for the Shell Lake Arts Center.  We hope you will join us again on the beautiful shores of Shell Lake for one of the best experiences of your summer.

See you at the Lake!
