Alexander Sandor, Classical and Ragtime Pianist

Alexander Sandor is a freelance pianist and teacher in northern Wisconsin. He is an adjunct piano instructor at UW-Superior, has been a soloist at ragtime festivals throughout the country, and is the president of the Lake Superior Ragtime Society, Inc. His students have won classical and ragtime competitions throughout Wisconsin and Minnesota. In 2016 with the Lake Superior Chamber Orchestra and Maestro Warren Friesen, Sandor performed the United States premier of the long-neglected Concerto for Piano and Winds by Belgian composer Leo Smit. In 2016 he co-founded the Islay Trio, which performs an eclectic mix of music, including original compositions.
