DESCRIPTION:Songwriters\, Storytellers\, Damn-Near-Legends  \n\n\n\nSongwriter\, singer and author Ann Reed has been a performing artist for more than 50 years with her rich\, dark-chocolate voice\, storytelling from the human experience\, and songs that find a permanent place in the heart. Of course some of her songs and stories might end up closer to your funny bone – a little irreverence never hurt anyone. She is one of the few artists who accompanies herself on the 12-string guitar. \n\n\n\nClaudia Schmidt has been perfecting her craft of performing for more than five decades. It is a quirky and wonderful hodge-podge (her word!) of music\, poetry\, story\, laughter\, drama\, and celebration of every moment\, be it hilarious or poignant. She uses her multi-octave voice\, shimmering 12 string guitar and very uniquely played mountain dulcimer to deliver a stunning performance that is never the same but always thrilling.  \n\n\n\nClaudia Schmidt and Ann Reed have loved each other’s music for decades. SUMMARY:Northern Lights Choir Practice
DESCRIPTION:The Northern Lights Choir (NLC) is starting our second season at 10:00 am on Tuesday\, Sept 15 at the Erika Quam Memorial Theater.  Weekly 10:00 – 12:00 rehearsals run Sept 15 through Dec 1 with our final performance on Sat\, Dec 5\, 2026 (time to be finalized) in the SLAC Auditorium. Our beloved Leadership Team is back with Doug LeMoine\, Snack Captain; Carol Thompson\, Treble Maker; and Tam Smith\, Music Director.  \n\n\n\nAs a member of the Giving Voice Initiative\, everyone is welcome with special invitation to people experiencing memory change\, their life partners\, care givers\, friends\, family\, and anyone who shares the love of singing\, social time\, and great joy and happiness. \n\n\n\nThere is no cost to sing in the NLC!  We do ask you to complete a short Registration form and then a survey after our concerts to assist the Giving Voice Initiative.  Music and lyric options are provided for all members.  Rehearsals consist of a brief gathering time\, vocal rehearsal with a break\, and of course the favored Social Time!  If you are interested and unsure about committing\, there is room for people to come and sit in or listen to rehearsals.  Come and check us out! \n\n\n\nSongs included in our Fall 2026 Session include\, but not limited to:  ProudMary\, BridgeOverTroubledWater\, TakeaChanceonMe\, OneCandle\, GoTellItOnthe Mountain\, YMCA\, and our NLC beloved Refuge.   \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPhoto by Jay Skuban

SUMMARY:Adult Strength\, Stretch\, & Balance
DESCRIPTION:This class will focus on building\, and maintaining strength\, and balance\, and mobility for our everyday life. There will be modified options for all stretches\, and movements to allow for individuals of any age to adjust to the level they are capable of. Classes are drop in basis\, you do not need to commit to any number of classes. No registration required\, Come as often as you wish. Payment will be required at arrival of each class attended. This class will run opposite weeks of the Dance class for Adults. Payments can be made Venmo\, PayPal\, cash\, or check.
