Holly Bacha
Holly Bacha, a native of Elk Mound, Wis., is currently a Special Education Teacher for iForward, an online charter school out of Grantsburg. She also currently serves as Founding Artistic Director of local semi-professional chorale, Ave Generosa.
Ms. Bacha possesses a bachelor’s degree in both music and history from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and a master’s degree in Education from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota.
Bacha earned many music honors in both high school and college, being a principal oboist with several symphonies and orchestras, and a member of several elite choirs, including the Master’s Singers in Eau Claire.
Upon earning her undergraduate degree, Bacha changed directions and was considering pursuing a career in law. After ten years of employment in government and quasi-government jobs, she yearned for greater meaning in her vocation. She completed graduate school, then embarked upon a new career of teaching voice and music appreciation to PK-12 students.
In Bacha’s own words: “I felt, after all my searching, life brought me back to where I was supposed to be all along … showing others that fulfillment is achievable, and that sometimes we take extremely diverted paths to get there.”
For over a decade, Bacha has taught in the fields of music, choral music, social studies and now Special Education. Bacha is a certified WSMA Adjudicator and a member of the National Association for Music Educators, American Choral Directors Association, and the American Orff-Schullwerk Association.
