Megan Conners
Megan Conners joined the Shell Lake Arts Center Board (SLAC) in October 2019, and serves as secretary. She also serves on the Executive Committee, Internal Affairs & Operations Committee, and Facilities ad hoc Committee. She was raised in Rice Lake, WI, and Minneapolis, MN, respectively. Megan is from a musical and artistic family with three of her four siblings having attended SLAC! While Megan is not musically talented, she loves theater and the arts. She was involved with Theater in the Woods since 1994 (now merged with SLAC). She wore many hats with TitW, i.e., costumer, house manager, board member, basically anything that involves helping an organization run smooth. She continues this with SLAC. Megan has worked as a secretary/transcriptionist for 45 years in corrections, mental health, psychiatry, hospital, and law enforcement settings. Since 1988, Megan has called Shell Lake home, and this is where her volunteer roots began. She loves to read, knit, fish, watch Survivor, and makes Swedish weaving blankets for family and friends. Megan is looking forward to retirement and traveling (smile).
