Songwriter, singer and author Ann Reed has been a performing artist for more than 50 years with her rich, dark-chocolate voice, storytelling from the human experience, and songs that find a permanent place in the heart. Of course some of her songs and stories might end up closer to your funny bone – a little irreverence never hurt anyone. She is one of the few artists who accompanies herself on the 12-string guitar.
Claudia Schmidt has been perfecting her craft of performing for more than five decades. It is a quirky and wonderful hodge-podge (her word!) of music, poetry, story, laughter, drama, and celebration of every moment, be it hilarious or poignant. She uses her multi-octave voice, shimmering 12 string guitar and very uniquely played mountain dulcimer to deliver a stunning performance that is never the same but always thrilling.
Claudia Schmidt and Ann Reed have loved each other’s music for decades. With their distinctive approaches to writing, their strong voices and great harmonic sense (not to mention vast senses of humor!), Claudia and Ann create an intimate show that delights and moves anyone lucky enough to be in the audience.
